Does anyone have ball pythons with unique "quirks"?
I only have one ball python, so I can't really say if my ball python has any unique behaviors or characteristics, I have nothing to compare with. Has anyone with multiple balls ever noticed quirks or personality differences in one ball over another? If so, what kinds of things?

YES, oh my gosh they all have different personalities. My normal male is a garbage disposal and will eat anything I put in front of him. My male pastel WILL NOT eat without his hide, I literally have to dangle the rat in front of his door and he snatches it...and goes back in his hide to eat it. He's paranoid lol. My male mojave talks a lot of talk (hisses like crazy when I reach in) and is then the sweetest thing 10 seconds after you grab him lol. My female spider is just special, I love her to death but she is just confused about life lol. My boa (have to include him too) has an attitude, he's not aggressive but very standoffish. He's not sure if he wants to bite or if he wants to try and escape my hands, AND he hides 80% of the time like my ball pythons do. Yep, he thinks he's a ball python, I don't see him out unless it's time to eat lol.

My super cinnamon woma is just strange. She never uses her hide and acts more like a boa when you open her tub. She comes out towards you. She isn't aggressive at all. She is just strange....lol

All three of my snakes are insane. My younger BP, Gene, is obsessed with long hair. He's always trying to hide in it. He's also the sweetest snake ever. My other BP, Fuzzy likes to wrap around my arm so his head is upside down. He will sit like that for 15-20 minutes before deciding to move. He also likes to try to crawl into the recliner, but Gene does that too.
Our boa is sweet, but she is moody. If she doesn't want to be messed with she won't hiss or bite but she will nose bump. She's so tiny but she tries to look so fierce, its cute!

All mine are pretty similiar except my Cinnamon (total skitzo) and my new Fire Mojave. The Fire Mojave has to be the most confident little thing I've ever seen. She comes straight out of the tub to greet me usually and seems to appreciate being out of the tub. She was raised with a 4 year old since hatching and was handled the most out of all my snakes. The Sugar balls up right after I take her out and then relaxes pretty quickly. The rest pretty much hide and eat.
Regards,
B

My Maru is also a confident guy he doesn't like to hide all the time(But when he does feel like hiding, don't mess with him!) and he loves coming out to play at night. I stayed over at Nathan's house where they are staying during a storm and the dang nocturnal animals were just having a party throughout the whole night! hahaha! Of course, the next day was feeding day for the snakes, so they were pretty excited

well, do most observed differences come down to feeding responses? I suppose use of hides is another difference. How about bathroom habits? are there any differences there?

All of mine do their thing the same way, generally close to the same timeline...some larger than others of course

Maru will eat, but I wouldn't say he has a strong feeding response. At least not compared to my boa! It takes quite a bit to get him to notice that there is a rat for him to eat! Once he sees it he pounds it down though

does their business happen in the same timeframe because you generally feed them all at the same time? or can they sense each other's imminent dookie?
