    Ball Python lost weight.

I got a 1301 gram pastel female 3 weeks ago. The seller said she is eating live small rats weekly. I bought 2 from the same guy. The other eating very well.

I kept them in the same rack. Hot side 88-89. Cold side 78-80

She didn't eat in those 3 weeks. I offer every week. I have tried live small rat, rat pup and leave the rat pup over night.

She didn't eat. and today I weight her, she weight 1226. That means she lost some weight in 3 weeks. She didn't poo in the whole time. So that is her body weight.

    Should I be worried?

    Thanks

She is plenty big enough that a little weight loss is fine. Start her out in the smallest tub or tank you can. Put a tight fitting hide in, and leave her alone for a week. Then offer a small rat. She just needs to adjust. The more hidden and secure she feels, the faster she will start eating for you.
