    Anyone Have Chinese Water Dragon?

I am getting one tomorrow from an old lady who no longer has the time for it. It's coming with a 55 gallon tank. Which I would think would be plenty for a lizard that only gets 2-3ft long.

However, I keep reading that these need gigantic enclosures but with no reason why?

I've had iguanas before and I had to basically build a small house for them because they are 6 ft long as adults. So I am trying to gather why such a relatively small lizard needs such a large space as an adult.

    Thanks for any replies.

    Hi Mason,
I am relitively new to the water dragon community. I just got one a couple of months ago. And from what i understand they need a large amount of space because they are so active and they grow according to the amount of space.Thats what i was told i think. I may be completely wrong, so please anyone that knows better please feel free to correct me.

You will need a large enclosure similar to the green iguana.

A 55 gallon will not be enough because the chinese water dragons can get 3-4 feet sometimes. and a 55 gallon wont be big enough
