Tub size versus hides

So if you had a 200-400 gram baby in a tub that would be better for a yearling sized ball, do you feel putting in more hides and giving them some kind of privacy screen would help them feel more secure? I've got my smaller female in the same size as my spider male, but she seems far more happy and less secretive than he is. I'm going to experiment by putting him in a smaller, more hidden tub and see if he seems to like it better.

Also, both of them are eating & generally doing well. The spider just seems to be more of a spaz than my super-confident female. He just takes a little more time to calm down and explore, but when he does, he's all long tongue flicks and cautious exploration. I think they may just have different temperment based on how they were raised, and/or genetics.

I have several 200-400 gram balls in 28qt tubs with no hides and they are doing awesome.
They eat twice a week and almost never miss meals.
If your snake is a shy one then I recommend a tight fitting hide that has only one entrance.
Mine aren't shy and could care less about hides and when they had hides they mostly slept under them.

I have one snake who is super shy and kept going under the paper instead of in the hide. I took the hide out and put in a quarter of an old towel. She likes that "hide" better--at least she uses it. Plus, I have 3 other quarter towels for spares when her hide is in the wash.
