what to use for a hide

i'm about to bring home a pastel bp that weights 957 grams. what do you use as hides for your bigger snakes?

Reptile Basics sells some great hides. Some homemade ideas would be a tupperware bowl or the sorts would work well. Or a plastic water catcher for a plant.

I use tupper ware containers that I spray paint (non toxic and let dry for a day) to make them dark.

I have used chopped down flower pots in the past.... Most of mine have the reptile basic hides now.....

My roommate often buys frozen lasagna that comes in black plastic containers. Just cut a hole off-center in them and i usually use a match or lighter to melt the edges a little so they aren't sharp or too jagged. Just be careful since I've melted plastic onto myself before and it is pretty painful XD

I also LOVE Reptile Basic's hides, the snakes do too!!

For a bp that size I dont use hides in my racks. But if its an aquarium or open enclosure thats different IMO

I know this will sound a little funny, but my girl prefers those 12 pack ramen boxes cut down so it's not too tall. Funny part is, she won't touch the large rock hide I got her at the pet store at first.... So now my tank has 2 ramen boxes and she loves it, lol.

i dont use hides in my rack either just newspaper they hide under that

I have two who use reptile basics hides, and one that uses a piece of an old towel. She won't use a regular hide, she scoots under the paper. I guess she likes having a security blanket.

I wouldn't care about her going under the paper except when she does that, she also poops under the paper.
