The OTHER would of course be all the other variants of UNIX (Mac OS X is a variant). And although not technically UNIX, i'll throw LINUX in that category as well because it is basically an open source UNIX clone.
As for which is my favorite, I use the best tool for the job at that given time. Sometimes the best tool for the job OS X, sometimes it's another UNIX variant or LINUX, and sometimes it's Windows.
