How much do you think my colony would be worth?
I have a breeding colony of mice. 26 bins with at least 1.2 each, most are 1.3 or 1.4. All are breeding and most have babies. Also would include two grow out bins that are not pictured. Currently producing 50+ a week. I also have a contract with a local petstore for 50 a week at $1.00 each. So a garunteed $200 a month.

(4 bin rack in the middle, rat cages, and rat rack not included)
I am now working more than before and I just don't have the time to devote to this. I dread having to clean out the bins and I'm just burnt out after 3 years of breeding the mice.
So I would be looking to sell the lot and hopefully hand over the contract with the petstore. But I'm having a hard time figuring out what it is all worth. I have hundreds into this and so want to get as much out as possible.
So please let me know. What would you pay for it??

I would say from accounting point if view the business would be worth about 6 months to 1years worth of revenue plus the value of the assets.
So revenue of 1200 to 2400
Value existing live mice at approx $1 each based on contract price
and theapproximate value of each tank andrack etc. That should give you the value of the business. How ever if you sell it piecemill by the assets it would be less. However the better price the faster itwill sell. I would think about 2400-3000 would be fair, but it maytake a while to find a buyer at that. Good luck and please forgive my typing i am using a nook.

Well, not to break your spirit, but, you don't have an auto watering system, and the bins are irregular in size and shape....
I would value the whole setup at roughly $5 a bin, plus the cost of mice. Mice, being that they are breeding, probably $7-10 per colony. Roughly, $300-400 for the whole shebang.
When I build a mouse rack, it holds 40 small cat litter pans, has feeder bins on top and each bin has a automatic water valve. They whole setup costs me just under $450 with the watering system. And, the whole rack is only 6' tall, 5' wide and 18" deep. Takes up a 5' space on a wall with no wasted space.
But, ultimately, it comes down to, you and a buyer, and what you agree upon. It could be worth more to a buyer looking for a setup that can be broken into littler racks...
Good luck with your sale...

It's hard to sell everything at once. When I moved from SC to VA I had to get rid of My ASF colonly. I had between 200-250 animlas ranging from pinks to breeders. Even though ASF's harder to find I couldn't find a buyer for everything including tanks for 150 bucks. I ended up giving it all to a local snake rescue. I only had a few weeks to try and sell mine and didn't have a pet store contract so maybe you will have better kuck. I think 2400-3000 wishful thinking.
