Jumping spiders = my new favorite spider

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBSYN...eature=related
OMG, she is SO CUTE! An amazing hunter, speedy and fierce when needed, but those bug eyes can't be beat, nor can her curious attitude.
Question: What is she doing with her--are they pedipalps? The things just under her mouth she lifts up and down quite often?
She looks very cute when she does it, whatever it is.
These little guys are fascinating. Even the little things around you can be adept at what they do.
I'm going to have to move to somewhere that these spiders live, so I can find some to study.

I'm more of a scorpion person, but I do have limited knowledge with spiders/tarantulas and I do know lots of people familiar with spiders/tarantulas. Though nobody will be up at this time spiders do that for a number of reasons.

    Sometimes they clean themselves.
Other times it's simple movements like that which attract potential prey.
Also it could be a little threat display, or a warning sign.

I'm sure they have other reasons which I can't think of because I'm just getting off work and I'm tired.

I'm not a big fan of spiders, I am scared to death of them acutally, but that monkey faced spider is just adorable! Thanks for sharing that video, they really are quite curious!
