    male pastel pricing question

I already own a large normal female about 4 yrs old. This week I may be buying my 1st morph ball, an semi-adult male pastel about 2 ft. in length. I would be buying it from a private party not a breeder. They say the snake is an adult male pastel about 2 feet in length, and they have no paperwork for the snake. What is a fair price to offer them for this snake?

    Re: male pastel pricing question

well paperwork is really not that important for the pastel it is a visual! i would say a fair price is from 50 to 120 for a male and the nicer it is the more the price! hope this help some please correct me if i am wrong

I think it really all depends on the amount of blushing and how bright the yellow is. I've heard others say that the orange on pastels tends to brown out more than the yellow, so I'd pay more for a pastel with high yellow and high blushing and flames.

i think 50 would be low. I'd probably offer 100-140 tops

i paid $200 for my male pastel baby about 5 years ago. he was pretty bright then. the orange has browned out quite a bit but a lot of the yellow has turned white.

show us a picture and give us a weight.

i doubt id pay more than 150 for a really nice male pastel.

I'd say $85-$140 depending on how bright it is. Pictures would help us distinguish a better price to offer....not just because I want to see a picture of another bp

Do you have your heart set on a Pastel?

Does it have to be an adult or sub adult? IF you are interested in a Pastel, why not go and try to get a Super Pastel....no normal babies? Look at getting a female Pastel and some breeders will throw in a male Pastel for free or for a very low price. Pastel Ghosts are actually pretty cheap now too....or Pastel YB's.

A super pastel is a baby from a pastel x pastel clutch, it's the super form of a pastel...they stay bright yellow for life and don't brown out like regular pastels do.

Someone here has to have a picture of both together to see the difference.
