Few Questions...
....about carpet Pythons...
Are They Good Display Animals??
Are they that much secretive as ball or they more curious and active Animals ??
I know that different sub species vary in size... Which one is a smallest one... ??
And if I will consider one...
Will 40gallon breeder tank 36long x 18 wide x 16 tall be sufficient or I'll need bigger cage in future ??
Thanks In Advance.

They are great display animals! Mine rarely use their hides and like to hang out on their ledge or on top of their hides.
I don't have BP's but can say Carpets are curious and active. Mine seem to 'watch' what's going on, they are very aware of their surroundings and like to come out. They aren't nuts active like my son's Corn but they don't just sit there either!
Irian Jayas are the smallest. My male is 6' and my female is not quite 5 1/2', it should be the other way around but no one told them that.
I keep mine in Boaphiles, 4' x 2' x 18". They use every inch of that space.
They are great snakes and I think everyone should have at least two. lol

Re: Few Questions...
I've been using Anthony Caponetto's care sheet as my guide.

about a month ago i traded my ball for a 07 carpet at the raleigh reptile show because i wanted a bigger snake. Mine is a 07' male costal carpet. they are the biggest carpets and he will average out somewhere between 8-10'. He makes a great display snake. he is not always out but most of the time hes out on his branch. when i have him out he is very active and curious about everything. He is right at 6 or 7 ft now and i have him in a 75 gallon tank and it is perfect for him.

Yes they make GREAT display snakes! I keep adults in 4x2x2 AP cages with shelves, flexwatt heat.
My '10s are in 2 foot tall exo-terras. I set 'em up as tropical planted vivariums with hydroton/screen for drainage and a few inches of substrate. I also used epoxy glue to glue some half-circle (small pvc pipe piece cut in half) perch holders, and use two horizontal perches at different heights, along with mopani wood as lower "furniture".
The hatchlings get hides, and often use them. They are not shy like ball pythons, and will just as likely be out. Around 2 years old or so I find carpets stop using hides as much, and I stop providing them shortly after upgrading them to adult sized cages.
