    any recovery for this egg?

    hi,
ok so I can't get pics right now but I try if needed. I got to a clutch later than I would like and the girl was only incubating 2 of the eggs. That was 9 days ago, one has definitely died I would say (its mouldy and smells) now another one is going (I'm guessing the 2 she left out of her coils) at first it looked like it had a really good window in it, now that window is covered in a sort of slime, it's a bit like off yellow, translucent slime and the veins are not as red as the others and there seems to be a big blood blob or huge blood vessel in it. Is it dying? why would it be ok until now if it was because she didn't incubate it? is there anything i can do? I didnt lose a single egg last year and now im gutted that im losing eggs in my most anticipated cutch it was only 4 eggs too (((

The eggs were with the female for 9 days before put into the incubator?

Have you candled them to check for veins yet?

q-tip the slime/mold. Add liquid band-aid to the area.

Generally when eggs get the slmy coating they are in the process of going bad. I've never had an egg survive that started sweating and sliming up early into Inc. They will sweat right at hatching but this is way to early for that to be happening. There's Many reasons for eggs to go bad but it sounds like these guys weren't meant to be or something happened to cause neonate death.

Re: any recovery for this egg?

Hi, yep I candled them, they are fertile but like I said the veins are alot darker and there is some sort of blood vessel blob. The female was with them a day and a half at most, I mean its day 9 of incubation when the 2nd egg started going icky. I don't think I can save it but i will try the q tip liquid band aid thing thanks
