Filming of Egg Candling - Camera Adjusting to the Light

I notice that if I try to film the candling of my eggs, the camera adjusts to the light and makes the video darker than it actually is. I can actually see the light change in the video when I put the light to the egg. It starts off great and you can see inside the egg really well in the video for about 2 seconds and then the camera adjusts and you can barely see anything. I'm using a Droid phone to capture the video. Can anyone give me advice on how to stop the camera from adjusting. I was hoping to do candling vids throughout incubation but the first video was ok, after that I just couldn't get good video. So here we are at day 32 and I want to get another video of the eggs, but I want to get the camera straight first. Any advice? For a light I'm using a Coleman flashlight. I'm guessing its an LED flashlight as that is what I was told to purchase last season.

Is it possible to set up a sort of frame/screen similar to what people use to see solar eclipses? Or make a piece of paper aiwth a hole just big enough to poke part of the egg through and film that side, with the light on the other?

I went ahead and took a video. It still did the same thing. Lighting sucked, but I was able to get video of movement in egg #5. You can clearly see what I think is a head move. Last week when I was candling the eggs, I saw this little guy's head clear as day against the side of the egg. I saw his little eye and even the stripe that goes across his eye! I'll be posting it momentarily.

Try a little bit stronger LED flashlight and then increase the ambient lighting in the room so the camera isn't focusing on the flashlight quite so intently, it should help.
