She ate a Rat!!
So my girl has been begging for food almost all week long. I've been trying to finish off the last of a bag of 30g mice(she's 500g empty) so I figured two would be a normal feeding, but she's eaten 7 over the past week and a half. I offer when she sticks her head out in hunting pose(neck in an S curve, elevated) and she's taken instantly.
She's been a problem eater all winter, so today I figured I'd use her newfound hunger to try and switch to rats again... and she ate it!!

Congrats! I'm hoping to start a new snake on f/t, so may this be a lucky day for all! Congrats again, it's so nice when they eat after having refused

Out of curiosity, should I be worried that she's gone from 500g to 690 in 5 days? It seems like she's been eating a lot lately.

Well if she was eating that much, it kind of makes sense because she still has it in her, so to speak. It hasn't really been digested or used yet, so it's all dead weight (no pun intended hah). That is pretty steep, but once she poops then it should go down.

You should definitely slow down on the feeding. Thats a lot of food for a snake that size
