Boa messed up his chin.

After feeding my boa, he struck the side of his plastic tub and put a dent in his chin, its not bleeding and he seems to be acting normally. will this repair itself?
has this happened to anyone else?

Looks like he just unhinged it's jaw a bit, hopefully it will get better.

i had a boa bite me and the same thing happened to his lower jaw. it stayed like that for about a day. the vet i called said to bring him in if she had trouble eating. she took a meal on schedule with no problems.

My boa had something similar happen when she got too excited at feeding time and struck the cage door. It fixed itself after a few days.

Agreed, I've had mine do that as well and she eventually fixed it herself. I wonder if its more the teeth getting caught onto one another like velcro

The jaw does unhinge (SP?) in the front underneath right in the center, as well as the back corners.

Happens to all pythons and boas.The lower jaw comes in and hooks its self on the lower teeth when they hit a hard object. Give him time to maneuver it to get it off. It unable you can work the teeth off the jaw to unhook him.
