Pics of a Red-tailed Hawk feeding on my side porch today

Noticed this guy eating his lunch while I was making mine. I snapped a few pics and thought I'd share them.

Oh beautiful!! That's my bird right there! I just love raptors of any kind. Especially hawks and owls. I've recently become obsessed with the new movie Legend of the Guardians and have plans to buy the books because I want to know what happens!! Lol

I know a nice couple not far from me who are 2 of our areas master falconers and also have a huge raptor rehab facility. They are the only people in northern IL licensed to rehab bald eagles and make an appearance at a local Pow Wow every year with some of their birds.

I've always been fascinated by them. I take pictures whenever I can as well. Thanks for sharing!

    Awesome shot!

The dead squirrel is gross though. Makes me appreciate the not-even-close-to-that-kind-of-gross eating habits of the ball python.

I guess I should save this picture for when some friends of mine tells me how gross owning a snake is because of the eating-the-rat thing...
