    Help?

Hi there. I'm hoping someone might be able to shed some light on the mysterious medical emergency my BP seems to be having.

I just returned from a long trip, and a friend who has experience with caring for snakes watched him for me.

He's got what looks to be a gash that's been healing for a while on his side, yet I'm pretty sure it showed up over night. The tank's clean, but I'm wandering if it's a reaction to some kind infection. The scales that are affected are separated by wet looking white flesh.

He's been submerging himself in water a lot more than usual...

What could it be and what should I do?
