What thermostat to use with an enclosure

I just finished rebuilding my blood pythons enclosure, I'm using a RHP mounted on the top right side. Before putting the snake in i put a few digital thermometer/humidity readers to figure temps. After letting everything alone temps were to high. What are my options for thermostats in an enclosure?

    Thanks

I only have experience with herpstats and I've been very pleased with them. I'm sure others can attest to other good brands out there.

I've had great luck with my Herpstat so far. I recently visited thebeanfarm.com and they said they sell more Herpstats than any of their thermostats and have a great track record with them.

    Regards,

There are two main categories of thermostats: proportional, and non-proportional.
Proportional is better, and worth the extra cost, but if you're low on funds a non-proportional is much better than a dimmer (or nothing).

    Proportional:
    Herpstat - recommended
    Helix
    RBI

    Non-Proportional:
    Hydrofarm -recommended
    Ranco
    Johnson
