Just thought I would share a photo of our newest rescue. Can anybody help us come up with a good name for him. It is a male.

Another question. Can you tell locality of a red-tail by looking at it? Color, speckling, anything?

This guy was found in a friends screen porch. Can't found how it got in there, but, snakes can get into some amazing places. They called me to come get it because they are afraid of snakes. When I got there to get it, I said WOW.

I can never come up with any good names, but why can't one of my neighbors call be over and find a redtail there

Ya, it's warm here, I'm in west central Florida. It's actually the second exotic I've come across down here, the first was a hatchling Solomon's Island Ground Boa.

There is really no way of knowing the specific locality without knowing it's lineage. You can sometimes make an educated guess by comparing it to known locality boas, but even then, it's not 100%. I would say, based on numbers and availability, it is probably Colombian, and, judging by the amount of pink in the coloring, possibly not a "normal" and a great find.
