    First clutch is out ....(DUW)

and are done with their first sheds. 2 of them have deformed/under developed lower jaws. One (male) is barely noticeable while the other(female) is pretty extreme. Not sure yet if it will be able to live a productive life or be able to eat fine on its own yet. Time will tell. Over all they all are pretty nice little dinkers with some granity looks. The ration was 3.4 so not too bad.

    The female that's under developed.

Wow, I've never seen underdeveloped jaws like that, I'll be watching for an update to see if she will survive comfortably with that. Other than that, they are all gorgeous. I love their coloring and granite-like patterns. Very nice!

Thanks for looking and for the comments! Wish we knew why the females lower jaw was so under developed. Hopefully it's not genetic. We will try the same pairing again next year and see if anything is different.
Now we can't wait for the next 4 clutches to start hatching.

Granite stuff is pretty obvious w/ those babies, very cool pattern. I dont know why, but I really find the under developed female cute. Hope its not genetic though. Good job on your first clutch

Those babies are pretty awesome! Nice granite patterns and such... hopefully those two little ones with the jaw problems can eat on their own! All the best with them all
