    New rescue?

A coworker of mine had told me he was selling his rtb and I jumped on the offer. After I asked for info he told me he got the boa just after first shed has it since '09 and is only 3 ft long. I freaked and he said he only fed it a MOUSE once a month. He brought it in and it is def in need of healthy meals. Other than that she is very alert, no mites, etc.

Any input or advice is appreciated. I am a ball python guy, but love boas.

Start slow with increasing its diet with smaller than what you might think size meals. sounds like it is a good feeder so getting it back on track should not be a problem. good luck

Thank you for the quick reply. I've never rescued a snake before so the info was helpful.

I can never fathom the people that feed their snake so little. I mean, do they do no research? or do they just want to starve the snake to keep it small? It blows my mind.

I'm so glad it's got a good home with you now!
