    Doesn't bother to strike anymore

My oldest BP Rocko for some reason doesn't bother to strike for his food anymore. I'm not really concerned about it because he never misses a meal. He acts like he is gonna strike and then he backs down. I lay the mouse down and walk away and within a few minutes he has it in his mouth. I thought maybe because his feeding box was to small so I bought a bigger one. Just curious if anybody has had this happen or that there might be a reason for it. I hoping he has figured out that the mouse is already dead so no need to waste time with a squeeze

Re: Doesn't bother to strike anymore

When my male normal was eating f/t small rats he stopped striking at the rats and would eat them when I just layed them in his enclosure with him. Sometimes this happens.

Yup, some just become lazier as they grow older If he's eating well then I'm sure it's nothing to be concerned about.

I have one that does the same thing. I kinda like the fact that all I have to do is put the f/t rat in the tub and go on to the next one. That zombie dance thing can be a pain
