Help with python ID
I saw an amazing python at the last Repticon, and foolishly failed to write the name down.
It was about 6 feet long, medium-thick, with a fairly large head, black, with blue and purple iridescence (like an Indigo) and had thin yellow bands spaced a foot or so apart.
The owner said that these snakes were very rare, and that a young one would set me back about $3,000.
Anybody know what snake this was?
Thanks.

Re: Help with python ID
the description and price sounds like a boelens python to me. an amazing species with very few captive bred specimens ever having been produced.

Blackhead python?

Tho that wouldn't set you back 3000USD. Over here you can get 1.1 for 1500 euros.
