Feeders on pine bedding can hurt snakes? O_o

I know this is not true, but I wondered if anyone else has heard it before?
A friend of a friend breeds rats as feeders and we got together to talk. He told me that putting rodents on pine bedding makes it so if a snake eats them it will die. I don't remember his exact reasoning.

I know that there are other threads about "is pine bedding okay." I'm just wondering if anyone has heard anything about this?
I did some thread searching then some Googling and found nothing.

I keep some species of snakes on pine.
    Absolutely false.

The ball shouldn't be kept on pine. But if the feeder is on pine it won't hurt the snake eating it. Although a feeder kept on cedar will. Although again there is still much debate on keeping feeders on pine. I've fed my balls rats that were on pine and they are fine.

I can say that feeders kept on cedar gave my savannah monitor some issues. I haven't had my mice on pine before (though I'm planning to switch if everything turns out okay) so i can't say.

If you search the forum you will find this has been debated to death. Basically the expert opinion is rats on pine is just fine.

I've read about rats on pine, but not feeder rats on pine hurting snakes.
Sorry if I've posted something that's already around but I couldn't find anything directly relating to my question

    I don't think you'll have any issues.
