I took pictures of him tonight for a lady that emailed me wanting a pet rat. I'm guessing him at 4 weeks. He had a rough start with his crappy hairless mom. She likes to leave her babies scattered around to freeze to death. I was only able to save him and his hairless sister.
Are my hairless rats crappy ones, or do they all take quite some time to lose their hair? It's so weird that they are born hairless, grow some mangy hair, then lose it again.
The whiskers start out curly, then get straight with a little age. I wish I had rexesEvery time I see those curly whiskers and hair I get excited. They are straightened out already for those wondering.
His skin will be the agouti color and he'll still have the berkshire markings once he sheds right?
