    Clown x pastel #2

My male clown finally got broken in by a 2400 gram pastel girl a few days ago. I gave him 2 days off and fed him a small rat. Put him in with this 1500 gram pastel girl and he went right back to work. I have been looking forward to breeding this girl. I got her as a hatchling 2 years ago and she has a much more intense yellow with higher contrast blacks and less blushing. I love pastel clowns, but they tend to look a little washed out as adults, so I'm hoping the higher contrast pastel will look good on a clown.
    Come on pastel het clowns.

Thanks, I think her paint will look great on a clown. The bigger girl he has been with is a more typical low contrast pastel with plenty of blushing. It will be interesting to compare the two lines since I plan on holding back 1 female from each clutch and the best looking male from the two. That is, if I get pastels of both sexes and if I get hatchlings at all of course.

    Re: Clown x pastel #2

I picked up the clown from Dave Green at Brock's table last August in Daytona. He was just a hatchling, but he sure grew up quick and got down to business.

It will never cease to amaze me how quickly they grow in the first year alone. That's one (of many) things I love about BPs.
