so i peek in here from time to time cuz i just LOVE to see all the bright purty colors of some of these snakes. but i've got some Q's...
    1) what does "chondro" mean? i did a search on this and came up with a bunch of stuff on green tree pythons...are all the snakes being shown here in morelia green tree pythons?
    2) i've seen some fire truck red snakes and yellow with red speckling, just to name a couple...do they stay that color as they mature?

The original Chondropython genus was changed to Morelia a while back, but the nickname Chondro stuck.

There are some red morphs of GTPs, but they are few and far between. Most of the red snakes you see will turn to the common green as they get older.
