    My first RTB!

I just got my first RTB today. I adopted him (or her) from a fellow who didn't seem to know much about snakes...he had a great setup, and all that - but he put him up for adoption because he bit him once, and he was scared of him...and hadn't held him since (a few months.)

He's tiny, you guys. Scared of him? Really? Anyways, other than usual snake jitters from being moved to a new home, I don't see any aggression issues.

Got no name yet - I like to name my snakes after candy, so if you got any suggestions, I'd love to hear them. Right now Reece's and Hershey are my top two considerations. The snake's not sexed, either, so gender neutral names, I guess.

What a beautiful boa, congrats! Hatchlings can be nippy sometimes, but it's nothing to be intimidated by and passes with age. And most of the time they are really sweet snakes.

Have fun with the little cutie! Boas are LOTS of fun!

I know - I mean, when it comes to having any snake, you're bound to get bitten. It comes with the territory - sometimes they're just out of sorts! I wouldn't ever own a snake expecting to never get bitten.

It's weird, but after all my name contemplating now that I have him/her...I really like the name Rose. So much for candy! And man, I hope it's a girl. Well, we just won't tell him that he has a girl name if it's a male.
