10gal with screen lid. HUMIDITY help!

    Hi,

How do I reach the right humidity in my glass 10gal that has a screen lid? I have a large water bowl and I run a heat lamp but the humidity is around 30-40%. I need some suggestions.

    Thanks

    Sincerely,

    Thomas

what kind of substrate are you using? If you use a substrate that holds in moisture will help, such as zoo meds repti bark.

Check out the sticky on jfreel glass tank setup at the top of this thread forum. Has step-by-step info on putting aluminum foil over the top of the screen to up the humidity. Worked out great for me with my two 40-gallon tanks! Also too, your substrate could be looked at too, as that'll make a difference. Good luck!

I lay a damp towel on the lid. Adds about 10-15%.

I'm thirding that link! It worked wonders for my tanks. I mist and put a bit of moss in the hides every now and then, and I also use a coco fiber substrate. lol sounds a bit overkill when I type it out, but my house is insanely dry.
