    Breeding Permit?

My wife and I were talking about going the next reptile show and picking out a future boyfriend for Hera. And since we want to do some small breeding in the future it got me thinking......is it illegal to do that?

So my wife asked a couple of coworkers and one said that you need a permit to breed snakes. Now I know that States and cities likely have different laws concerning this but has anyone ever had to do that? I live in Denver btw so if anyone here from CO knows it would be a big help. I plan on calling animal control or the humane society anyways but I am asking here first since we have so many knowledgeable people.

    Re: Breeding Permit?

I found this for you. It's the Denver animal ordinances.

You may want to also check the county and State laws as well. The easiest way is to Google your county or state. State, County, City governments will normally have an official website that usually end with ".gov". From that website you should be able to navigate to the current laws and ordinances.

From what I saw, Denver's pet license only applies to dogs and cats. Good luck...

Thanks! I had done a few searches but I couldn't really make heads or tails of what I was reading.
