Hopper mice

So i bought 3 hopper mice and fed my bp 2. I have 1 left and am just waiting to feed it to samson (bp) when hes hungry again. Well after about 3 days the hopper is hardly moving and I am not sure what is wrong with it. It happened to the last hopper i bought too. It is like they are depressed or something. Can they eat normal food or do they still need their mothers to live???

I keep a hopper mouse in order to scent the rats and as long as they have rat food and water I've never had a problem keeping them...well...hopping around.

Hoppers when act down like that were weaned too early as they could be the runts. Be sure you have fresh water and foods for it. Soften the food with water if needed.

Mice arent as social as rats

Sounds to me like maybe they were pulled from the parents too early. It happens sometimes.

Offer it softer food, and just wait it out.

On a side note, how small is the ball you are feeding? Hopper mice are only for the smallest new hatchlings. My littlest baby, a spider, took adult mice at only 115 grams. He's a whopping 400 grams+ now. Nothing wrong with his appetite.
