    When to setup egg tub?

I have a girl due in about 3 weeks (March 30th). I am going to go with substrateless incubation this year (I have all the supplies ready)...How soon is too soon to setup an egg tub? I have been wanting to do it now, but will the tub dry out too much by the time eggs come or too soon into incubation? Any advice is appreciated.

    Thanks!
    -Jordan

I set mine up at least a few days ahead of time so the water in it gets up to the right temp.

Agreed, I usually try to have them setup and in the incubator up to temp a day or two before clutch is expected. I also keep several small bottles of distilled water in the incubator for adding to the substrate if it starts to get dry. That way the water is already to temp when/if you add it.
I don't really worry to much about drying out because my egg boxes are fairly sealed so they don't really dry out. I just open them every 3 or 4 days for a few seconds for a breath of fresh air, and when they get closer to hatch date I change the lids to ones with a couple small air holes drilled in them. Even though I use closed egg boxes I still keep a pan of water in the bottom of the incubator on top of part of the 11 inch heat tape to keep the humidity up.
