BP won't take two rats at feeding anymore...help?

My BP is about a year and a half old. He's always been a very good feeder with a great appetite. He's been eating small rats for a while now, and about three or so months ago, I started feeding him two small rats (at once) every two weeks. He seemed to do well on that schedule.

Lately, though, he's refused to take the second rat every time I feed him. As soon as he finishes eating the first, he tries to get out of the container I feed him in. Any idea why he's suddenly started doing this? Should I be concerned?

Also, how often should a BP his age eat?

Try feeding one every week instead of 2 every 2 weeks
