Miss Cranky Pants...
My big girl Mona (a proven breeder - bred her last year) is usually such a sweetheart, and has NEVER tried to bite me in the past... but for the last few days, she has really been Miss Cranky Pants. She struck at the tub yesterday, and today she flipped out when I tried to handle her. She's been eating as recently as this Tuesday, in fact her appetite is ravenous, and she last shed on 2/4. She's not bowl wrapping, but does look awfully swollen and a bit triangular. Is this all a sign of impending ovulation? And is sudden crankiness a typical pre-ov/gravid behavior? I don't remember her doing that last year, aside from maybe the end of her gravid period. Just wanna know when to expect everything!
P.S. I'll get a photo of her later, but have to charge my camera first.

Re: Miss Cranky Pants...
Haha... yes, the above comments are definitely true! I just didn't think she was gravid yet, so I wasn't expecting the behavioral changes now. Could it be that I missed her ovulation? And do they normally eat that far into the process?

Yikes... I really hope she doesn't lay that soon, since I'm moving later this week!
