    Re: Lighting issue

Hi, me again! BPs don't really have a need for lighting inside the enclosure but if you really want to I think you might have to cut a hole in the top of the enclosure and cover it with a screen. You can put a dome light or florescent hood over the screen-covered hole. I think that 12" is a little too short to be putting any lights inside the enclosure for fear that the snake might get burned.

I'd be interested in hearing thoughts from other members too.

Hey! I know all about snakes Used to work at a reptile store. They dont need lighting but it be nice to have to just get a better glimpse. I'm not to fond of cutting a hole in this Enclosure. Might aswell just leave it be.

If you run lights they will need to be enclosed so that the snake can not get to them. As for getting them in the enclosure Drill a small hole in it.. Cut the plug off the light. then run it from the inside out. Finally put a new plug end on the light. You can buy plug ends at homedepot for like 3 dollars....
