    Het. Pieds

Wondering if anyone has any tips to avoid being scammed into buying a "Het. Pied" that isn't Het. Pied! This is directed in more of a show standpoint, should all vendors be trusted? Or are there certain things we should be looking for?

Luckily for me I have a smart phone which allows me to check things like Faunas BOI section. I would just buy hets from a reputable breeder....

Exactly what he said. Most of the time i know my local breeders who are trusted. Sometimes a "new" guy may attend. Not "new" just new to the show. Always look them up to see their record.

Having the BOI on hand is a great thing at a show

Like every one said, use BOI. Another option is the expo should have a web site. Go to the web site and look up the places that say they will be there so you have an idea while your there and know ahead of time who to talk to

    Oh also forgot to say.

Just like when u goto a new City, you ask the locals wheres a good place to eat?

Same applies to a show. I see the same people every month. Me and my 4 friends go every month. Many other ppl go every month. A lot of people tend to know the vendors who attend these shows. Can always inquire about vendors by the "locals"

I also say look for visible animals on the table ( they had to come from somewere), specially if the visible is same size. ask questions about the parents. as well as everything above. I found that my hets when I got them had the markers really heavy ( specially on the females) and the male had nice ones. always request something in writting and it should have 3 forums of contact
    snail ( address) mail
    a webpage/email
    and a phone number.
I also see since most are bringing laptops o the show, about having a printed id for the snake so that noone tries to switch them laterand say sold me this snake as het and not proven 2 years later.. ( something I always liked ony my id papers)

Buy from a REPUTABLE breeder that will guarantee the genetics.
