What do you think?
Hello all,
I just wanted to confirm my own thoughts here. This is an image of one of my big males Corvus. He is offspring of a WC pair from a breeder in this area, that means he is part of his own line and un associated with other lines. The breeder has stopped breeding and is now closed, I have obtained this male and a female from him. He never decided what to call him exactly I think he looks like a chocolate to me, he is dark but has no black really just dark and light browns the side pattern is like a granite (can be a chocolate marker) He also has a speckled belly too, very small speckles they almost look like mites but aren't.
Do you all think he looks chocolate ish? Rather than granite ish?

He already has before I got him he is 14 years old or so and it is genetic, I have a female offspring of his with a sable. She is a very dark brown unfortunately she is incredibly shy she will go off feeding if she is handled much I have no photos of her at all.
The dinker project I have promised to complete is a to see if there is a super or not the best guess is that it is a dominate trait and the hope is that there is a super. With luck next year will tell.

I don't see chocolate in him at all and to be honest he looks like a million other normals I've seen

Fair enough, typical Chocolate markers I am aware of are often granite like side patterns, no / low black, little yellows, just browns. The problem is he just doesn't look much like many other chocolates either. It is subtle but he is quite dark but not black just brown. I think it is a fairly common naturally occurring phase, of course so are mojave. To my eye he isn't quite normal either just different, I think from my understanding chocolate fits.
