Nocturnal Terrestrial Herbivorous Lizard...Do they exist?
After a fairly busy morning, my day took a dramatic crawl of a pace after lunch. All of my projects for work are up to par...nothing to do at the house...animals are all good...so I decided to catch up on some much needed sleep.
Except my mind had other ideas...questions...
I lay, allowing my mind to race as I am too tired to keep up. Everything is going swell...but after random...very random chain of thoughts, I find myself stuck on a question to where I can not find the answer...unless I am overlooking the obvious.
There are many herbivorous lizards. Diurnal and Nocturnal...Terrestrial and Arboreal. Thinkings of all the different combinations...I could not think of a Nocturnal Terrestrial Herbivorous specie.
So I ask you...lizard gurus....do they exist?
Please supplement 'Yes' answers with an actual specie for the smart AStronauts.
Disclaimer: I did not proof-read this. I am tired.

Lol you sure did! Ya know, I'm sure one has to exist. I could swear I've seen nature shows in the past with a lizard running around at night. The only thing that really comes to mind though is salamanders and newts but they are amphibians.. I'm stumped!

Yes! They are called 'hipsters'.
The hipster:
Mostly herbivorous.
Nocturnal.
Refrains from heights, and anything generally dangerous.
To spot a hipster in the wild look for skinny jeans, terrible hair cuts, and several arm tattoos.

I was going to answer Monkey-tailed Skink, but they're primarily arboreal. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solomon_Islands_skink
Hmmmm... I'm stumped!

Hmm, I keep thinking about this and one thing came to mind, maybe someone knows, but can a herbivorous nocturnal reptile even exist? Meaning, are there a lot of plant sources that provide vitamin D (that a reptile would eat)?

The thing is there are herbivorous diurnal lizards, but they are mostly arboreal (iguanids).

Oh I forgot, it's supposed to be nocturnal. Nope, you've got me there.
