Misting for humidity

I use a glass tank, zoomed UTHs and I use a red bulb to heat his tank, i have a slightly larger tank, but he is pretty happy, but my humidity is low, I know this is always going to be a problem with a glass tank. But I am beginning to mist his cage In the morning and at night, How much misting should I do? Like how much water should I spray in his tank? Also, any other tips on keeping humidity up in a glass tank would be much appreciated

I used a glass tank also cover half of the mesh top w a wet towel it will help w humidity and the light sucks the humidity out of the tak and is not necessray as they only need belly heat..... Move the water dish to the hot side so it gelos w humidity and remeber too much humidity is worsethan not eenough

I have a glass tank as well, and I use Eco Earth substrate which so far keeps humidity pretty well. I mist probably 2-3 times a day, I just try to soak the substrate so it stays damp for a few hours because it does dry up quick with the heat lamps (I use them too). I also don't have the best hygrometer, so I really have no idea what "number" humidity my tank is at, I just eye ball it. If his substrate is dry, I mist. Hope this helps...

Add:
I also use a cut piece of heavy duty boat plastic (don't ask, my bf did it) to cover about 1/3 of the screen on top, it helps keep the humidity in. But I've heard aluminum foil can work well too, plexiglass, etc.
