Odd but good behavior?

So Ive been breeding 3 pairs for around 4 month now starting in november. They have locked multiple times and have been building for about a month now. I am still introducing them and today I put my males in with their ladies and one of my females keeps bucking him off of her when he climbs on top of her. She is in a perfect coil and doesnt seem to want the attention. I had multiple locks in nov./dec and then my males stopped showing interest but now it seems they are back in the mood and the females are turning them down. Has anyone seen this before and I'm assuming it means that she is gravid or about to ovulate?

I forgot to add that the female that is doing this is the one that started refusing food 2 weeks ago.

Also, should I remove him from her tub? He doesnt seem to be stressing her out but it seems like he is more of an annoyance to her.

I haven't got to that point yet, but it sounds like she has had enough. I'd take him out.

Learning to palpate alleviates some of the anxiety about not knowing how far along they are.
I use a table leg and let them grab the leg and when they pull you pull your finger tips along the belly pushing up to feel for lumps.
The trick is to get her to relax her belly muscles while your pushing your finger tips into her belly to feel those lumps. Do be careful to not push too hard, many time it takes two or three pulls before getting the female to relax her belly.
I can usually feel the follicles when they are about marble size well before the snake ovulates.

I offer the female food until she ovulates, she may not take it but then again she might and if you don't offer it you won't know.

I think knowing how to palpate is very important as well.

I use a similar method to palpate, but I place my hand inside a pillowcase (or any thin piece of cloth). This allows your hand to slide down their body with much less friction. Since I started soing this...It has been MUCH easier to feel follicles. Just my .02.
