How many reptiles do you have to own to have a real "collection"?

Say you had 2 reptiles. Would that be a "collection?" What about 3 reptiles? I have 4 snakes, is this considered a small "collection"?

I would say anything more than 3 COULD be considered a collection. Personally I didnt start referring to my snakes as a 'collection' until I had 7..now a few months later I have 16!

Hmm, I'm not sure. To me it's a small collection. When I think of a collection I think 10 or more because it just seems like a really big number. I've had a few non snake people correct me when I said that I had a small collection, they said, "you have 14 snakes, that's more than some zoos have!"

I don't really consider my animals my "collection", but I'd say five or more constitute as such. We probably have over one hundred animals in this house, but I look at them more like a weird family that tends to defecate on me. Oh..wait.

A collection starts with your first snake. A collection is whatever you have. One, two, three or 300, if that's what you own, that's you collection.

I also collect meteorites, since I collect them, I own a collection.

    Same with snakes.
