Is he having a bad day or is it because I .....??

Hey everyone so I have mad some really good progress and so has my snake since the last posts I have made .... Make a long story short he was really nippy and striking at everything when I got him and he has calmed down a ton which is awesome I can actually hold him without getting tagged lol .

Basically Im just wondering do snakes have bad days ? I was holding him today and he seemed really impatient like he just wanted to get out and every time I would go underneath him towards his neck area or like 4 inches back to let him slither threw my hands he would swing back like the same movement as when you would wave your hands in front of his face (head shy ) type of gesture ......He just seemed a little off today as he usual doesn't have that behavior ..... Just wondering could it be because its close to feeding day which are on mondays and he is really hungry ? Or is he just having a bad day ?

Also keeping in mind but i dont think this is the issue but basically yesterday I was holding him and my girlfriend bumped into me and the snake at the same time and really scared the snake as he curled up in my hands with his head popped out and as soon as my girlfriend moved towards me after that happened he striked at her ....didn't get her though lol........I kept him in my hands for a min to let him calm down which he did then he was just back to normal showed no different signs after that happened ....I continued to hold him for another 10 mins or so then put him back in his tank .... Just wondering could that have something to do with todays behavior ?

There can be a lot of things that can affect a snake's mood! If they are a bit constipated they might be uncomfortable, maybe something happened earlier in the day that made him stressed, or it could be he is near shedding or something! So, yes, like any living thing, snakes have bad days!

They can have "bad" days, but this is usually in-fluctuated directly by their environment. Should be nothing to worry about.
