I wouldn't get worried quite yet, just keep a close eye on him. If anything changes send another post.

Are you sure his hide is small/snug enough?
It might be that he's seeking a more secure area to hide in. If the hide isn't small enough to touch him on all sides when he's inside it, it's probably too big for him.
Some of my bigger ones still wear their hides like hats they don't want bigger hides.

90 degrees ambient on your hot side could mean the floor of the tank is way hotter, are you using a thermostat to regulate your heat?
Also looks like he still has stuck shed. I'd wet a towel with some barely warm water and place it over the snake, in a snug small container if you can. In a couple of hours he should be skin free.

The floor temp is actually cooler than the ambient because I have the tank raised above the uth right now. I haven't been able to get a reptile uth and thermostat yet, but I'm working on it.
I soaked him on Thursday because ALL of his shed was stuck. (he's had bad sheds his entire life since he's never been taken care of correctly). He wouldn't let me touch his head or neck so I'm going to try again tomorrow, just didn't want to stress him out more than the bath already had.

His hide seems like a good size to me. When he curls up in it the sides touch him pretty snug. But he definitely has room to grow into it still.

i spent over $1000 trying to help a female rescue recover from an RI and underweight. she gained weight but the RI eventually took her. you never know with recues, people tend to lie about previous ownership which makes treatment difficult if lab results arent 100%
A room full of empty racks and thermostats that have been unplugged.

I'm taking Sam to a vet as soon as I can, I just hope being under weight and dehydrated is the only problem he has. I didn't get him from a random person, I got him from my aunts go-worker who just had no clue what she was doing. I've watched him for the past week for signs of an RI, mites, and other problems. So far nothing serious is apparent.

I wouldn't soak him and feed him on the same day, and remember, after you feed him to leave him alone for a couple of days to digest, except for changing water or spot cleaning. Here is a link to a thread with a good photo tutorial on removing stuck shed.

I won't soak him and feed him on the same day again, I waited about 8hrs between the two but didn't know it shouldn't be done. And I do know not to bother him after feeding, I fed him Thursday and plan on cleaning his habitat tomorrow, since there seems to be urate throughout the tank from him drinking so much.
