I'm sure with a vet appt and good antibiotics she will be just fine. Scales rot occurs from bacteria getting trapped under the scales. And it infecting the tissue and
The scales creating blisters
And infection. Chewing mites could definately help that along. Even though the mites may be gone, the damage had already started. Scale rot is very treatable when treated with proper meds and husbandry. Until this starts getting better id switch her to paper towel sub. And have betadyne on hand if you don't already. Combined with the antibiotics I'd wipe down her belly and any other infected areas with the betadyne once a day or do a soak with a betadyne/water solution once a day. Either or will work. Also just to further prevent anymore possible Bacteria I'd change the papertowel 1x daily. I hope this is helpful.

Depending on the degree of the rot, you shouldn't need a vet appointment. Clean out the cage 110%, keep her on paper towel or newspaper , and change that every day. Make sure you're keeping the humidity up without soaking the paper.
It should clear up with her next shed!

Make sure you disinfect, cleaning alone isn't enough...

The only way scale rot will kill her is if you don't treat it and let it eat her.
Do see a vet, better safe than sorry. Switch her onto papertowels for the duration of treatment, you must keep things cleaner-than-hospital clean. Get yourself some Betadine, and mix it with water to wipe her with or let her shallow soak, whichever she tolerates better.
The vet will give you antibiotics to treat her with after her Betadine. If you keep her clean and warm and treated with antibiotics, she should heal up fairly quickly.

I found Betadine for the cheapest at my local Walmart--about $10.00. Everywhere else it was $14.00 or more, and you can find it for that price at Rite Aid, Walgreens, Fred Meyers, etc. any local grocery store with a pharmacy aisle.
If you do purchase Betadine, make sure it is a 10% solution. Put the snake in a tub and fill it with room temp water, about 3/4 the height of the snake, and wait a minute. They usually like to drink the water.
Then add some betadine. Wash your hands with sanitizer and mix the betadine with the water, adding more until it looks like an iced tea color--a light brown. The stuff smells pretty strong so make sure there's good ventilation in the tub. I just put my hands in and gently push my hands so the mixture washes over the parts of the snake that are affected (they usually try to slither out of the tub, and don't soak the affected areas). I let them crawl on me so they don't feel trapped, and gently wet my hands with the mixture in the tub and then rub it over the snake.
This is just what worked for me. My snake is looking a lot better. Good luck!

For tub cleaner I use the Zoo Med wipe out products. They're pricey but the work. I think you could find the same ingredients online for cheaper if you do a little research. Change substrate daily and immediately after you see your snake has pooped/peed. Change the water bowl daily, and only put a little water in so they can't soak in it. Keep humidity levels up but don't make the substrate or tank wet--just humid, like you've run a shower.

Tub cleaners are not disinfectant though and that's what he needs to do to keep down the bacteria. Bacteria is what has caused this and since it's running rampid in the rot infection it's true you need to keep this better than hospital clean. Simple bleach dilutted to water 20:1 bleach part being the 1. If it's possible get two of the same tub and that way you don't have to stress her by holding her while you disinfect the tub. You can set up the disinfected tub put her in it and then switch them daily. That way it's not as much work and stress on both parties. When you disinfect the tub use hot water and dilute the bleach right in it and let it sit for 20 min. Then wash it out really well, and let it dry in a safe place so it doesn't get dirty again and switch it out the next day.
Ps do this while she's got the rot. After get chlorhexidine. And dilute that with water and keep it in a spray bottle. It kills bacteria and can be used around the animal. When mine poop in the tubs I take out the affected bedding, take a papertowel, spray on a bit of the chlorhexidine and wipe up the poop of the tub. I use bleach 1 a month when I disinfect.
