What should I look for in a pewter?

I have decided to add a new member to my crew! I'm debating between a blk pastel, cinnamon, or pewter female. I want to breed it with my pastel het pied male eventually or if I have a really good few years a pastel pied.

My problem is I'm not sure on what qualities make a good pewter. For example how can you tell a pewter from a real smokin cinnamon??

    Thanks!

Pewters have a yellow/sliver look to them, they are very easy to pick out from cinnys. Let me look for some pictures...

    Here's a yellow pewter

    A silver pewter

    And some cinnys

So you can see they are pretty easy to pick out from cinnys. Pewters have about the same pattern, but they are much lighter. It all depends on the pewter whether it will pick up a lot of the pastel's yellows, or if it will stay nice and silver. As for what makes a good pewter, that's up to you!

Yeah I would, but I'm too cheap to get a pewter or cinny het pied I have 6 het pied females and 5 possible het pied females. I was looking to add more co-dominant stuff to my collection so I can eventually start mixing my recessive stuff with it!

This is my Pewter boy. I am trying to figure out what girls to put him with in a year or so. I don't know if they are supposed to have blue eyes but mine does.
Too many snakes to list. Ball pythons, Gtp's and Boa's. It easier to say it that way.

Re: What should I look for in a pewter?

I always look for bp's that I like. To me it is not what is perfect to everyone else it is about what I like best. I am the one that will be working with it. When you find a pewter that you really like I would buy it. I picked one up last weekend and I think he is awesome. Now I just need to pick up a few females to breed him to. I am thinking a bumble bee, and a cinnibee for him.

Best of luck in your search,

    Morgan
