    Humidity help

I have a rack I built that holds 16qt and 26qt tubs. I am using a acurite digital temp/humidity guage It just keeps reading HI instead of a number. So I a guessing I need to lower the humidity. Do I just add more holes on the sides of the tubs? IS there a better brand to use that will display a number at all times?

Well, are most of the tubs reading HIGH humidity? Make sure that the substrate is dry, move the water bowl away from the heat source if close. Some people have a fan blowing at the rack to reduce humidity. If you can put more holes in the tub, try doing it to one and add a few more and see if that helps that one tub. The AcuRite thermometers are pretty good. It is reading HIGH because the humidity is probably a 100%. Is there condensation on the sides of the tub(s)?

    hope this helps,

    Dave

    Re: Humidity help

I am using newsppaer for the substrate and have the water bowls on the cool side. There is condensation on the inside of all the tubs, so I will add more holes and see what happens. Thanks for responding.
