Hello :)
I've been lurking around the forums for a couple days now and finally decided to register, so here it goes. Hello, my names Danielle, I'm 23. I currently do not own any snakes but have always been fascinated by them. My mother is terrified of snakes so I was never able to get one. I have owned quite a few turtles and lizards but have always wanted a snake. I've been researching ball pythons for awhile now, and now that I have my own place and a boyfriend that isn't afraid of snakes I think the time is finally right. I'm just waiting for my tax return so I can afford it haha.
I'm planning on breeding my own feeder mice because there is no reliable pet store in my area that has a steady supply of feeders, I think they lost their supplier or something. I was just curious what size the mice need to be for a young snake? I've read hoppers are ok and I've also read full size mice are needed. I just need to know when to start breeding so I know when to get the snake. Ill probably get my harem of mice in a week or sooner. Anyways, any advice would be appreciated!

Re: Hello :)
Just to let you know, mice stink pretty bad. You may want to consider buying a ball that eats frozen thawed rodents instead, and buying them in bulk.
