Help! Shed seems to be taking too long.

Hi, I'm new to the world of snake ownership and am of course freaking out about every little thing that could go wrong. Anyway, the real problem is that my 4 month old male BP doesn't seem to be sloughing off his skin, he is definitely in that stage of the shedding process but not taking any action. It's been probably about a week since he actually began looking wrinkly and perky if you know what I mean. Any advice?

Could stay blue or grey for couple weeks. If its bugging you that bad soak it in warm water and rub it off or wrap it in a towel and let it crawl out.

Re: Help! Shed seems to be taking too long.

He is past the blue and cloudy part and definitely into actually shedding his skin. The skin has peeled about to his eyes and has been stuck there for a while, with one eyecap flapping around a little after last nights bath. I have been bathing him every few days with the advice if his vet who I talked to last week. The humidity in the enclosure has been at about 60-75%! most of the time but does occasionally drop a little lower as we get very dry winters here. Thank you all for responding.
