    Which lizard to get?

I am looking for something to get as a display animal that wont be too awful if i try to hold it. Something that is diurnal(comes out during the day) and fairly small(under 24") I would like to house more than one together for a small breeding project also so they cant be too anti social. Also I dont want something that everybody has (beardies, water dragons, etc.) I want it to be a little weird haha.

    Any suggestions??

lol.....I think that might blow the 24 inch rule!! Other than that you could get a cool chameleon. Some of them get pretty big and I don't know which one it is but there is the one with the 3 horns on their head. Hes a looker....lol But with a cham you would have to have an all screen cage.

Yeah Frilled lizard and bearded dragons are cool and would make a great choice, How about you just get a really cool morph bearded dragon like a hypo citrus, And if you still decide you don't want a beardie, how about a leopard or crested gecko?
Why? Why do humans always look to the sky? Why do you try so hard to fly when you don't have any wings? We'll run on our own legs. - Kiba "Wolf's rain"

    Re: Which lizard to get?

Yea this wont be a first reptile for me. I have had a beardie for a while and they are great! I have and breed leopard geckos, and I also have a water monitor. Just look at my sig and that should tell you what I have. I also work at a reptile/amphibian "pet" shop (I hate calling it a pet shop lol). I was just trying to find something that I dont see everyday. Tons of people come in looking for frillies, beardies, and leos. But I want something that people will look at and say "what is that!?". I was looking into some armadillo lizards because nobody seems to have them. I want something that most people havent heard of before. I have worked with all of the more common lizards.

The Tanzanian variety of rock agamas have pretty awesome coloration on the males during the breeding season, bright blue bodies with red heads. I don't know too much about most agamas, or if those would be available in the US, but certainly a bit different.

Those do look very nice! They seem to be very hard to find though. I found one guy on kingsnake but all of his are wild caught and i want to stay away from wc if i can. But they are so gorgeous!!
