    Re: losing hair

i dont believe its fighting cause its the breeder tank and they never fight. lots of that going on in my 20 gallon where i store the feeders and no one is losing hair in there. ill look into the parasites thing. i have one of the females that has lost almost all her hair and two others that are well on their way, it does not seem to be affecting the male though. maybe ill just spray the tank down with some PAM next time i clean.

oh and im not at my house right now, so ill try to get some pics up tomorrow!

    thanks guys and gals

EDIT: also i use mazuri feed and have never seen this kind of thing before from the food. im kinda leaning toward mites on this one.

    Re: losing hair

also what are you using for bedding? I had a really sensitive pet mouse once and I could only keep him on paper based bedding. If I had him on wood of any kind he'd start getting irritated skin and he'd begin losing hair and would develop little scabs from scratching.
