Tub/heat tape size for rack system.

    Hey guys,
So I'm building a rack system for my BP's and I wanted to know If 28qt tubs are good to use?
Also, any advice on whether I should be using the 3 inch heat tape or the 11 inch heat tape?

    How big are your snakes?
How many are you going to house?
Flexwatt really depends on the dimensions of your rack and how open it is and such

Yeah it all kinda depends on the rack and how big your snakes are. I put my girl in a cb70 about 2 months ago, and she was a few hundred grams. Now she is over 600g and doing great!! Some people will say cb70 is too big for smaller balls, I think it really depends on the animal itself. Just don't make your rack too small!

We use three or four inch heat tape under tubs and eleven inch tape when we provide back heat instead of under tub heat.

thanks guys! It sounds like the heat tape will depend on whether I want UTH or back heat.

the BPs are about 3 feet long or so, with a few more on the way so size may vary. What size tub should an adult BP be kept in? (I currently use tanks but want to switch over to tubs)

11" for 41 qt racks. 28 qt or smaller racks go with 4" flexwatt.
